- $xxxx (Can Deliver to anywhere in Calif, AZ, NV) xxxx 27' International Wayne - Old Style - sKOOL Bus/RV Class "A" Motorhome Conversion - Trade?
I prefer all cash but, I will work with you.......
There is well over $xxxx and many hours of conversion work invested is this project. I have a large folder of all receipts of the motorhome conversion appliance costs and miscellaneous item costs.
I live in the South Bay - El Camino College area of West Los Angeles County - 12 min from LAX and 20 min. from the Long Beach Airport.
I will give current market value in trade-credit for a car, a truck, RV, some hippie stuff ie: a tambourine, an old guitar, some tie-die, a granny-skirt a pair of bohemian sandals or ANY stuff hippiesh? Catch my drift?
It's a real motorhome and a fairly fresh conversion.
It's registered with the California DMV as a "MH" (motor home) and costs only $72 per year for registration. I only pay $6 per month for insurance as it is added on to my car insurance (senior with a perfect driving record).
It was converted a few years ago with an engine rebuild, etc. but, only has a couple hundred miles on it since then.
The new stove, oven, propane/electric refrigerator/freezer has been hardly used. The new, top grade, marine-type porcelain toilet has never been used.
It's only been driven a few miles per month and was freeway-driven as late as 11.19.11. By the way, it handles nicely too.
Although not haven been driven much except back and forth across the street, the oil has been changed every 3 months and the gas has always had a fuel-freshness preservative.
The engine is a 362 cu. in. The transmission is a 5 speed. Both are originally equipped and are in top condition.
The registration is good till Sept xxxx
I have the pink slip. The title is clean and clear and the RV is registered to me as a [motor home - "MH"] .
Some special features are:
It Never needs a Smog Check, not even upon transfer of ownership.
It runs on the cheapest, low-octane, regular 85% octane gasoline.
Seat belts were not original equipment so it's legal to ride without them if you prefer.
It is built Very Heavy Duty - You can not beat the durability and dependability of an International Harvester Loadstar. It was built to safely transport 24 precious children to and from school on a daily basis. You would probably survive a major accident but the rig is easy to see by other motorists.
FYI: It was purchased from the Los Angeles Unified School District when they opted for larger buses.
It has a large, 17-gallon hot water heater. Not the common 6-gallon that most other RV's have.
Double sink in the kitchen - stainless.
A stainless steel wash basin sink in the restroom as well a large wash tub, porcelain, not like the plastic ones that seem to always crack.
Extra Stuff: You have probably seen, or been in a standard factory-produced motorhomes, that were not a bus conversion and noticed that the RV bounced down the street and swayed around corners and seemed to be somewhat unstable. Not a problem here. This RV corners like a sports car and was built to hold lots more weight then it now carries. You can carry the weight of 10 fully-dressed Harley Davidson's and not be over the GVW rating of this rig. In 90% of the RV's on the road today, just one Harley Davidson will put you over the safe GVW rating so you end up having to pull a trailer, staying under 55mph, staying in the right lane, fighting the traffic entering the highway and constantly merging because your lane ends.
The motorhome has (6) 37" tall tires that are suitable for off-roading and beach sand travel. They never sink! Also, they're great for uphill traction in snow without the need for chains, in most cases.
It has a new 110V/12V current converter
It has a durable Honda generator (built-in)
It has 2 batteries - both are ultra high-amp, deep cycle.
The gas tanks are super large.
The holding tanks, fresh water, gray and black are also super large.
Unlike your run-of-the-mill RV, the roof is a one-piece steel construction. You do not have to periodically reseal it to keep the moisture from damaging your ceiling and walls. It wont hurt to walk on top of the roof ether.
Unlike other school buses, this one has a high ceiling. I'm 6' 1 " and my head clears, even with my high-heeled Harley boots on.
Last, but not least; this house-on wheels has character. It looks great, classic. It's REALY COOL. People often point or stare and smile or wave as it passes. People naturally assume the occupants are friendly and easy going, which we are.
